Getting started: Essential setup checklist

Now’s the time to confirm that everything is in place to start tracking invalid clicks and protecting your ad campaigns effectively.

Here are a few hygiene checks to make sure you're all set:

1. Are all Google Ad accounts connected?

Lunio connects to your Google Ads accounts via the Google API and tracking is implemented using our tracking template. Have you connected all of your brand and regional accounts? You can link as many Google accounts to Lunio as needed.

2. Is the multiplatform script installed?

If you’re using Lunio on ad channels other than Google, or adding audience protection to your Google Ads as a second layer of protection, you’ll need the multiplatform tracking script added to all your relevant web properties. This is a critical step for activating audience protection.

3. Is the conversion tracking script installed?

Are your conversion events being tracked?

We strongly recommend implementing the Lunio conversion tracking script. This helps keep our detection algorithm on point and unlocks additional exclusion capabilities. Here’s a step by step.

4. Final verification

Once everything is in place, you can test your setup by reviewing your dashboard. We recommend reviewing your initial reports after 24-48 hours to ensure that data is being collected and filtered as expected. You can see every click decision Lunio has made in your clicks log.
