Learn how to connect Lunio with your Meta account in our step by step guide below.
In this guide:
Before you begin
To connect Lunio and Meta, you must have implemented Lunio's Multiplatform tracking script across your website. Learn how in this guide.
We recommend that Lunio can be implemented without the need for user consent. See here for more information.
β
Important note: Do you have multiple Pixel ID's on your website? If so..
Inform your CSM or [email protected] that this is the case and protection needs to be turned on.
Ensure you have implemented our multiplatform script across all web pages of these website(s).
Check that the Lunio event is activated on both pixels on the meta account(s).
Create the audience on both Pixel IDs.
If you have multiple websites to protect we recommend setting up separate Platform configurations for each.
π‘ Keep in mind that there is a 24-hour waiting period for the initial activation of the tag. Additionally, be aware that exclusions will only take effect once your audience reaches a minimum size of 100 users
Platform setup and applying to a workspace
The following section applies if you are using workspaces, which is the default setup as of July 2024. Existing systems without workspaces - please provide your pixel ID to [email protected] to complete the setup.
Log into your Lunio dashboard as an administrator and access the 'All Workspaces' administrator area using the workspace navigator in top left.
From there click on Platforms β Add New Mplat +
This will bring up the settings as shown in the screenshot below, please fill in accordingly
Select Platform = Meta
Name = Workspace Name
Auto Calculate CPC/Average Cost Per Click: at least one non-Google platform must have a self-defined CPC so that other platforms can use an auto-calculated CPC.
Protection Status = Protect
Add Domains to This Platform = Domains linked to your website (including subdomains). Easiest method is to copy the URL from the browser and paste it as is to ensure the full domain is provided e.g. https://www.example.com/
β
Once all the appropriate fields have been filled in click on confirm.
3. Next please navigate to the left hand menu and click on Workspaces.
β
4. Click the Edit button next to the workspace where you would like to add Meta. Next click on Multi Platform β Add Configuration.
β
5. Find the platform you have recently created and then click on the plus button to the right to add it into the workspace.
π‘ If you have more than one website to protect we recommend setting these up as separate platform configurations to allow you to track in separate workspaces in the future
