In this guide:
What type of Affiliate traffic is being configured?
When setting up the Affiliate configuration in the Lunio dashboard, you're enabling fraud detection for all affiliate traffic, regardless of which affiliate platform is used.
This setup is network-agnostic - it does not require a direct integration with any specific affiliate platform (e.g. Awin, Rakuten, Impact). Instead, Lunio monitors traffic behaviour across all affiliate sources as long as it’s properly tagged and routed through a configured workspace.
Key point: This configuration is for tracking affiliate traffic, not for connecting to affiliate platforms.
Before you begin
Ensure Lunio’s Multiplatform tracking script is installed across your entire website (including any relevant subdomains). Please see here for the instructions.
For conversion reporting, you will also need to install Lunio’s Conversion tracking script and enable the parameter so we can capture the conversion event and corresponding Order ID. Follow the instructions here for more information.
Create an Affiliate channel
Log into your Lunio dashboard as an administrator and access the 'Account Settings' via the settings (gear icon) in the top right menu bar.
From there navigate to Platforms → Multi Platforn > and click on the Add New Mplat + button
Fill in the configuration fields:
Platform: Select
AffiliateName: Input a name to identify the affiliate configuration
Auto Calculate CPC/Average Cost Per Click: at least one non-Google platform must have a self-defined CPC so that other platforms can use an auto-calculated CPC.
Protection Status: defaulted to
Monitor.Protectis available allowing customers to redirect clicks to their nominated redirected URL.
Protected Configuration: allows the user to apply additional protection settings to the click and conversion events.
Conversion Threshold - flags users who exceed a defined number of conversions within a day, helping identify unusually high conversion activity from a single user in a short timeframe.
Click Capping - allows customers to set a maximum number of clicks per user. Once the cap is reached, users are redirected to the nominated redirection URL.
Domains: Add all relevant domains (including subdomains).
Use the full URL copied directly from the browser (e.g.
https://example.com)
Blocklists: Add specific ISPs (Internet Service Providers) that are known to the customer that the customer wants to block.
Click Confirm to save.
Assign the platform to a Workspace

Click Edit next to the relevant workspace.
Navigate to Multi Platform > click Add Configuration
Locate the new Affiliate platform you created.
Click the ➕ icon next to it to add it into the workspace.
Tag Affiliate traffic
To track and classify affiliate traffic properly, apply the correct UTM tag to all relevant networks, partners, and campaigns in your affiliate platform.
The tag should be:
utm_medium=affiliateORutm_medium=affiliatesORutm_source=affiliateORutm_source=affiliatesORppcp_platform=affiliateORppcp_platform=affiliates
If there are no existing parameters, use
If adding to existing parameters, append using

To populate the Partner name and Campaign name in the dashboard you'll need to use the following parameters:
utm_mediumorutm_sourceto show the partner’s name.utm_campaignto show the campaign name.
✅ Final Checks
Before considering setup complete:
Is the multiplatform script active on your website?
Is the conversion script active and passing the Order ID parameter on the conversion event?
Is the Affiliate platform added and assigned to the correct workspace?
Have you added the UTM parameters to affiliate traffic?
