How to integrate Lunio's multiplatform tracking
Updated over 2 weeks ago

For Lunio to be able to monitor your paid traffic across ad channels, you need to install Lunio's multiplatform script. Adding the script to your website is a one-time task.

The most convenient approach for this is utilising Google Tag Manager by one of two methods -

  1. Using Lunio's multiplatform Google Tag Manager template

  2. Installing Lunio's multiplatform script via Google Tag Manager

Note: To implement Lunio's multiplatform tracking on your website without using Google Tag Manager, locate the tracking script on your Lunio account under "Scripts" and implement it in the header of every page on your website or follow your alternative tag manager's conventions for implementing a custom tag and set it to trigger on all pages.

How to use Lunio's multiplatform tag template on Google Tag Manager

1. Navigate to your Google Tag Manager container linked to the protected site. On the left-hand side menu, choose "Tags," and then click on "New," as illustrated in the screenshot below.

If for any reason you'd prefer not to use our tag template, you can implement the tracking script as a custom HTML tag. Here's how.

Step by step instructions:

1. Log in to Lunio or, if you are in a workspace, click on your workspace's name top left to reveal the workspace nav panel and go to the System Overview page.

2. Under Scripts in the left nav, find and copy your multiplatform script.

3. Navigate to your Google Tag Manager container linked to the protected site. On the left-hand side menu, choose "Tags," and then click on "New," as illustrated in the screenshot below.

4. Following that, you'll want to give the new tag a name. We suggest "Lunio Multiplatform Script."

5. Next, navigate to the "Tag Configuration" tab and select the pencil icon in the top right-hand corner. This will open another tab where you can choose a tag type.

6. Click on "Custom HTML." Insert the Multiplatform script you copied from your Lunio account.

7. Proceed to the "Triggering" tab and select the pencil icon located in the top right-hand corner. This action will open another tab where you can choose a trigger. Click on 'All Pages' and then click 'Add.'
