Data Sampling

To enhance Lunio’s IVT protection, impact-test protection and lay the foundation for future benchmarking capabilities, we’ve introduced data sampling across all customer accounts.

What is Data Sampling?

Data sampling sees Lunio select a small, random subset of traffic (up to 10%) across all customers, which we will monitor but not protect.

This gives us a clearer view of Lunio’s impact, accounting more effectively for the fluctuations of IVT levels in the market, and to a degree the variables impacting client traffic that we’re unable to control for, such as seasonality, new offers, and increased spend.

Why it matters?

  • Powers smarter detection model improvements.

  • Helps validate how much IVT Lunio is blocking.

  • Supports future IVT benchmarking and ROI reporting.

  • Enables deeper performance insights from your CSM.

How can it be accessed?

Accounts will automatically opt-in to data sampling when it is created. To opt-out of data sampling admin users will need to go to System Overview > Account Settings, and switch off Data Sampling. Or you can reach out to your CSM.
