How to connect your Meta account to Lunio

Instructions on how to connect your Meta account to Lunio as part of the Meta API integration

Updated yesterday

Connecting your Meta account allows Lunio to display campaign-level data (cost model, spend, status) directly in your dashboard.

Important: The MPLAT script must remain installed on your website. The Meta integration enhances reporting but does not replace protection.

Before you start (pre-requisites)

To successfully connect Meta to Lunio, you must:

  1. Be logged into Facebook with an account that:

    • Has access to the correct Meta Business Manager

    • Has permission to manage the relevant Ad Account(s)

  2. Have sufficient permissions (owner or admin) in Lunio to access:

    • Settings → Platforms → Meta Tokens

Note: If your Facebook user is not linked to the correct Business Manager or Ad Account, the connection will fail or the wrong account may be authorised.

To verify you have access in Meta

Go to: Meta Business Settings → Accounts → Ad Accounts and confirm your user is assigned.

After completing this step

Update your ad tracking URLs to ensure the Meta campaign ID is captured correctly. Please see instructions on this page Configuring URL Parameters for the Meta Integration

  • Complete the Meta authorisation flow:

    • Confirm the Business account

  • Approve requested permissions

  • Send and confirm

Once complete, Meta will redirect you back to Lunio.

  • You will see a confirmation message.

  • The new Meta token will appear in the tokens table as Active.

Important notes

  • If you remove or deactivate the token, Meta data will stop updating.

  • If your token expires, you will need to reconnect.
